Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Kivolet processes personal data when you browse the site, run a distribution scan, create an account, manage a product, contact support or use a paid service.
Controller and contact
Kivolet is operated by Try Hard, VAT number BE1023150456. Try Hard is the controller responsible for the processing described in this policy. For privacy requests, questions about this notice, or requests to exercise your data-protection rights, contact hello@kivolet.com.
Data Kivolet processes and where it comes from
Data provided directly by you can include your name, email address, account credentials, product profile information, URLs, workspace inputs, support messages, consent choices and purchase-related information. Kivolet receives billing identifiers and subscription status from Stripe but does not store full payment card details.
Kivolet also processes technical and usage data such as security logs, IP-derived anti-abuse signals, scan activity and diagnostic events. Distribution research can include information obtained from publicly accessible product websites, directories, marketplaces, communities, editorial sources, search results and other public web pages. Public-source data can therefore be obtained indirectly rather than from the person concerned.
Purposes and legal bases
- Provide the service. Account, workspace, scan and paid-service data are processed as necessary to take steps at your request and perform the contract with you.
- Billing and compliance. Transaction and subscription records are processed to perform the contract and comply with accounting, tax and other legal obligations.
- Security and abuse prevention. Technical signals and logs are processed for Kivolet's legitimate interests in securing the service, preventing fraud and enforcing usage limits.
- Support and service operation. Support communications are processed to perform the service and for the legitimate interest in diagnosing and resolving product issues.
- Distribution research. Public product and distribution evidence is processed for the legitimate interest in providing and improving distribution intelligence, balanced against the rights and reasonable expectations of affected individuals.
- Optional analytics. Where required, optional analytics are processed on the basis of your consent.
When data is required
Account credentials and the product information required by a selected Kivolet workflow are necessary to provide that workflow. Billing details required by Stripe are necessary to purchase paid services. If required information is not provided, Kivolet may be unable to create the account, run the requested service or complete the purchase. Optional analytics consent is not required to use Kivolet.
Recipients and service providers
Kivolet shares personal data only where needed to operate the service. Recipient categories can include hosting and database providers, authentication and email providers, Stripe for payments and subscription management, analytics providers when the relevant consent applies, and search, AI or data-processing providers used to produce requested distribution research. Professional advisers or public authorities may receive data where required by law or needed to establish or defend legal claims.
International transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where European data-protection law requires a transfer safeguard, Kivolet relies on an applicable adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, or another lawful transfer mechanism. You can contact Kivolet for information about safeguards relevant to a particular processing activity.
Retention
Kivolet keeps personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Account and workspace records are normally retained while the account or customer relationship is active. Billing, tax and transaction records may be retained longer where law requires it. Security and diagnostic records are retained according to operational and abuse-prevention needs. Support records are retained as needed to resolve the request and document follow-up. Data may be kept longer where necessary for a legal claim, dispute or legal obligation, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
Your rights
Subject to the conditions in applicable law, you may request access to your personal data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, and portability of data you provided. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
Contact hello@kivolet.com to exercise these rights. Kivolet may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
Complaints
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority. In Belgium, the supervisory authority is the Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA). You may also have the right to contact the supervisory authority in the EU or EEA country where you live or work.
Automated processing
Kivolet uses automated systems to analyze products and public distribution evidence and to produce recommendations, scores and research outputs. Those product-research outputs are informational and are not intended to make decisions about an individual that produce legal effects or similarly significant effects solely by automated means.
Analytics and consent choices
Where Kivolet relies on consent for optional analytics, analytics are enabled only according to the choice recorded for that browser. You can revisit that choice at any time through “Analytics settings” in the site footer. Withdrawing optional analytics consent does not prevent you from using the core service.
Changes to this policy
Kivolet may update this policy as the service, providers or legal requirements change. The version date at the top identifies the published revision. Material changes will be communicated through an appropriate product or account notice where required.
